Brian Merritt received his degree in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming and has had a long and successful career in the construction industry with expertise in all associated areas. In his 35 years of experience, he has been a participant in the development of $5.4 billion of commercial real estate throughout California, Nevada, Arizona and Florida. His specialties include executive land management of acquisition & entitlements, feasibility reports, political processing, executive management, development packaging, development budgets, timelines & schedules, marketing of land, and loan budgeting & procurement of loans. Mr. Merritt has also founded his own company, Southern California Land. His success helped him gain the experience and reputation necessary for the next several decades which he spent as upper level management at a variety of corporations such as Pacific Scene, Brehm Communities, Universal Development, Corp, Warmington Homes, and Wilma Pacific. In 2001, Mr. Merritt formed Sea Gate with Tom Porter, which has grown to become Sea Gate International Inc.

Tom Porter graduated from Michigan Technological University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and spent a 36-year career in the computer industry. During this successful career, Mr. Porter held various engineering, technology development, program management and executive positions at IBM. During his 30+ years with IBM he was granted 7 US Patents. After leaving IBM, he became VP of Research & Development at Western Digital, the first employee of this newly formed division, which would grow to over 500 people in the next 2.5 years. This division generated over $100 Million in revenue in its third year. Prior to joining SGI, Mr. Porter held the position of Chief Technology Officer and Executive VP at Sea Gate Technology. Here, Mr. Porter managed the annual R&D budget of more than $600 Million and directed the efforts of more than 3,000 engineers worldwide.
